A FABULOUS creation from my sister!!

My sister completed this special book for my niece. It was for her first Christmas together!! I will take a picture and post it for you!

Seriously Christmas has come and gone?!

WOW!! The days/weeks/months have gotten away from me. There are times I wonder what I have done to keep so busy and then as I reflect I realize what it was! :-) I have had a joyful Christmas this year! Courtney home from college, Tyler here with us (and of course their friends Beau and Jordan! :-)) Andrew is always a man of few words but many actions. He does his own Christmas shopping for the family. Even when I say "Andrew we are done..." He surprises the kids with individual presents just from him. How blessed I am to have him in my life!

I am now hopeful that I will find 2011 a time to continue to grow in His love and share His love. There are so many times during the day that I find myself needed to stop and talk to Him. Times that I let anger seep in, frustration hit me...and unless I have His words to guide me I find myself responding to that anger and frustration. That being said...Thank you Heavenly Father for being with me everyday to guide my words and my decisions. My cup runneth over!!!!!!!

Off to orientation

Hello! Had another first in my journey and that was to take my daughter off to orientation. WOW what an exciting time for her!! Even though there have been so many changes in our world and many many challenges....what an AMAZING place to live! So many friends she has already met and looking forward to meeting when fall arrives. What a blessing to watch her grow and learn life's lessons. Will certainly miss her!! It sure is funny that we think of "how nice it will be to have the kids grown and the house back to ourselves...." Words of advice for you...DON'T THINK THIS!! It will happen and YOU WILL want to turn back the hands of time! Life is GOOD...no life is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mother's Day

What a wonderful day! I saw both of my children, my mother, my sister, my niece, my grandmother and spoke to 2 of my aunts. had a text moment with my sister in law....Family is sure a blessing! I did miss seeing my step daughter Molly but will hopefully get to see her tomorrow. After having brunch at an amazing home town restaurant "Max and Ermma's" went to coffee at my sisters. I also got to see her mother in law...more mother's on Mother's Day! Then my sister and I escorted my husband to get some groceries and more graduation supplies. He is such a sweetheart!! No complaining even after waiting for us for over an hour and ahalf!! He also gave me the most amazing gift. A mother's ring!! It has each of our kids name's and birthstone on it! A treasure I will wear everyday. THANK YOU honey!! My sister and I then delivered our gift to our mom and then made more cookies and mints in preparation for graduation! I am so excited for Courtney as her last day of school is coming next week. Well the timer just went off again for the cookies so better go. Love and Peace.

National Scrapbooking Day!!

Happy NSD! I am lucky enough to be in Omaha today...for Amanda's wedding and will be having to find something to do before the wedding today...guess where I'll be!! Hobby Lobby...Michaels...Archivers...HERE I COME!

Time....

Wow...the days just go way to fast! I was hoping to post some pictures of some really fun cupcakes I made and some fun birthday bags I made...however I don't have my cord to download the pictures down here and well...since I just sat down...the pictures will just have to wait. My sis and I also tried out a new sugar cookie recipe for Courtney's graduation cookies. YUMMIE!!! I started my to do list and yikes...that list is a bit long for only 4 weeks away. I continue to love reading Joy and Melanie's blog. I've also started reading the book "Letters to God" Courtney read it and was sobbing when I went up to her room. I wondered what was going on...she said the book was sooooo good but sooo sad. I decided I'd see how it was. Of course she did say she went to the movie but as it seems to happen often...book better. I am also really anxious to get the veggies planted. I should put some peas in this year....maybe I need to move to the farm before I expand my garden!!??? ENJOY life!

Working on Graduation

Trying to work on getting Courtney's graduation invitations. I am having fun putting them together but I think I'm adding some anxiety into Courtney's world as she is not a procrastinator and likes to be on time for everything!! :-) I reassured her I'd have them done on time...better get back to work! :-)

My many blessings

Just crawling into bed..blessing number one. I have a home that is a wonderful home I have everything I need including my bed :-) I have a wonderful husband to spoon with at night...(even if he snores!:-)) My son and his girlfriend just returned from Hawaii on vacation and I loved looking at their pictures with them and seeing their faces as they shared their memories...blessed to have such a wonderful son and that he allows me to continue to be part of his life as he moves through life. As we were watching the videos and pictures of their vacation my daughter came home..another blessing. Then to watch my son give the gift he brought home to his sister...how thoughtful!! I relfect more on my day and am blessed also that I have a mother and father still in my life. I cleaned out my car in my dad's garage today..I had to borrow his Armor All and shop vac :-) Talked to my mom a couple of times on the phone...then went to Hobby Lobby with my sister. yet another blessing! When I went to pick her up had the joy of visiting with my brother in law..yes he's a blessing too! I could go on and on of the blessings that He gives me everyday....I go to bed not feeling hunger, I feel love from Him and all of the people He has put in my life, I have a job that I love, car to drive...........for all He gives to me....I am blessed..................................

Almost the weekend!

I love the week too but look forward to weekends becuase I allow myself time to scrap. This weekend I am going to be working on Courtney's graduation invites! Tonight I'm still having fun following everyone! It's so great to see what others are creating and the new tools out there etc...I do have to nudge my hubby every once in a while as it makes it difficult to watch the great demo vidoes while he's snoring! :-)

We just returned from the National Honor Society program for Courtney. She has worked so hard in school and has grown into such an incredible young woman. I am so proud of her accomplishments and look forward to see her grow and contribute to our society over the years.

Off to sleep

Wow is this FUN or what!! I'm so glad I decided to sign up for the giveway that Everyday Cricut showed me. After I signed up I went out and met many new bloggers! Now I need to get to sleep. Time...again

I enjoy each and everyday...it's just that it seems the days are more and more packed with doing and not enough of reflecting. I know doing is a must but when I begin to meet myself coming and going at the door it's time to do a little less. I am reminded of the Dunkin Donut commercial...the guy that meets himself coming and going..."time to make the donuts...oh already made the donuts" :-)

Time

Why is it that there is so much to do and it seems so little time? I spent the day in bed today. I woke with a migraine at 4 a.m. and it never left me until just a bit ago. Now I'm not tired and so will take the next few days playing catch up. I'm not sure what trigged my migraine?! We had a fantastic time at Grandma's 90th birthday party yesterday. It was great to see our cousins from MN. All to often everything in life keeps us busy except the important things. You know what I mean!?

Laying here now listening to my husband snoring...as many times as I nudge him to stop and I try to get to sleep before he starts again....I'm certain that is one of those things in life I'd miss if I didn't have to nudge him every night.!? Courtney made me smile tonight too. She had asked if I'd help her with some points in a speech she was delivering tomorrow. In my comment when Andrew asked what I was going to do I said "I have to help Courtney with this speech..." she quickly smiled and corrected me..."Mom you get to help me with my speech..." I've taught her well.... for now.....j

Life in our house

Enjoying the evening with Tyler, Andrew and waiting for Courtney to get home from work...I think she just walked in?! I was out doing some blog hopping and having a GREAT time. I am so impressed with the many talented ladies/guys that I have found out on their blogs. It's really fun to see all of their GREAT ideas!! I really need to get busy and get Courtney's invitations made for graduation. I'm really looking forward to working on them just want to get more of my creative thoughts engaged.:-) I will have to post some of the projects that Courtney and I have been working on over the past couple of weeks. Bye for now..........

Resting after the hospital gathering.

We enjoyed a fantastic night at the Events Center! We all enjoyed Ted and Dave sharing their amazing talents with piano and humor! Thank you! Then had dinner with my sister and brother-in-law. Roast and potatoes. Now getting ready for Grandma Great's 90th birthday party which will be next Sunday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Grandma!!
